KAIA

Kaia completed her Masters in Anthropology in 2005, which brought her to Cape Town, where she worked for an NGO and simultaneously pursued a degree in interior design. She received her Yoga training from various sources, in different countries (Jivamukti/Costa Rica, tantra/embodied flow in Bali, liquid flow/France, Yoga therapy/Spain, meditation trainer/Germany). These influences will be reflected in her classes. Expect them to be physically demanding and fun, enriched by inspirations drawn from nature, different cultures, yoga philosophy and from various teachers. At the moment Kaia lives in Munich/ Germany, where she runs her own Yoga studio (www. katrinfess-pureyoga.com).

SONJA

Since her childhood, Sonja was curious about nature, numbers, the elements and the influence the mind has on our being.
Healing from various health issues with the help of ancient practices like, Yoga, Chinese medicine, Acupuncture and Shiatsu opened up the gateway for the path Sonja is walking today.
The practice of Vinyasa brought her back into her body and made her feel alive again. Since then Yoga is the medicine of her choice and sharing the wisdom she gained with the community became her life’s purpose.
Sonja is a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 Certified Vinyasa teacher, Reiki practitioner and Raw Vegan Chef.
You can expect her classes to be strong, playful and with a traditional and holistic approach.
Sonja is originally from Austria and left her home town in 2016 to follow her hearts desire. Therefore she moved to California to live near the ocean. Her passion to study and share Yoga internationally brought her to Central America, South East Asia and back to Europe, where she spend the summer teaching Vinyasa and Yin at a Yoga retreat in Portugal.

At the Yoga Garden you can find Sonja in her classes, hosting Cacao ceremonies or in our in-house Vegan Café, where she will spoil you with her healthy creations and raw treats.
